We’re Danny and Afonso, co-founders of BOTH — a concept born from our shared passion for hospitality, design, and flavour. As locals ourselves, we wanted to bring something fresh to the neighbourhood.

BOTH was created with the idea of offering both sides of the day: vibrant café energy and laid-back wine bar charm. We saw a gap in the Runaway Bay café scene for a venue that could balance excellent coffee, curated wines, and thoughtful food in a warm and welcoming setting.

Afonso is a well-travelled chef with a global palate and a sharp eye for detail. His love for beautiful food and creative execution is reflected in everything from the menu to the visual touches throughout the space.
